We hit the studio recently to lay down a few tracks, and if you want to hear one of them, you can head on over to our Band Camp page and take a listen. This is a brand new track, and if you wanna hear it live, make sure to come check out one of our Maritime dates with Cancer Bats and 3 Inches of Blood starting May 10th.  Another track from this session will also be appearing on a 3 way split single with our buddies in Sanktuary and Metalian, so stay tuned for more info on that.

Lineup Changes

It's been a bit of a rough start to the year for us. First we lost guitar player/founding member Nick Jones, as he decided to move on to other things (check out Nick's new band We're Doomed at http://www.myspace.com/weredoomedmusic). Now we regret to announce that we'll be parting ways with our longtime drummer/founding member Sylvain Coderre. This wasn't an easy decision to make, but we're confident that it's in the band's best interests. We'll still be appearing for a showcase at the ECMA's in Charlottetown in April, as well as our Maritime dates with Cancer Bats and 3 Inches of Blood in May. We're currently looking into finding someone to fill the position, and we'll hopefully be able to announce news on that front before too long, so stay tuned. We wish Sylvain the best.

Nova Scotia Music Week

We were down in Yarmouth this past weekend for Molson Canadian Nova Scotia Music Week 2010, where we were nominated for awards in 3 categories. We're happy to say that we were awarded Loud Recording of the Year, and our label, Diminished Fifth Records, picked up an award for Company of the Year. We'd like to say a big thank you to Music Nova Scotia for all their support, and to everybody involved for making it such an amazing weekend.

 We've been hard at work writing new material, so expect to hear more about a new album sometime in the new year. In the meantime, we're playing some shows in Halifax, Moncton, Quebec City and Montreal over the next little while, so check out the upcoming shows for info.

Updates! Awards! TV appearances!

So it's been awhile since the last update, but we've been keeping busy. The best way to keep up to date is probably to follow us on Facebook, and you can do that at our Facebook page here.

 We've got a few announcements in the meantime. We've just announced that we're going to have two songs (Fiend and The Conquering) featured on a new Space Channel series called Todd and the Book of Pure Evil. You can find out more about the show here. Our songs will appear in episode 8, but two of our label mates (Gallactus and Orchid's Curse) will have songs appearing in episodes 3 and 4. The show premieres September 29th at 9 ET on Space.

 We also taped a live performance and interview for The Candy Show, which is currently airing on APTN on Tuesday nights at 9 ET. Our appearance should be airing on October 12, but tune in in the meantime to catch appearances from some other great local artists, including The Whiskey Kisses and Garrett Mason.

 Finally, we're happy to announce that we're nominated for 3 awards at Nova Scotia Music Week this year. The awards are: Loud Recording of the Year, Group Recording of the Year and New Artist/Group Recording of the Year. For more information, including a list of all the nominees, check here.
